What are Play Groups?

Is your toddler showing progress in one-on-one therapy?  It’s time for the next challenge!

Our experienced team integrates individual therapy skills into small group sessions for optimal progress.

Children engage with peers in a supportive and intimate environment, making friends while refining motor skills.

“Tracie and the T.O.T.S. team were so sweet, kind, and welcoming. The activities were nice and short. My toddler really enjoyed the art time and we have now added art to our at home play activities.”

Mom of 2 year old

“T.O.T.S. helped my son challenge himself and encouraged his skill of thinking through scenarios. The program allowed him to have fun and explore. T.O.T.S. also helped with structure, following rules, and routine.”

Mom of 2 year old

“As a therapy student volunteer, I gained skills in the areas of communication, gross & fine motor while collaborating with parents and caretakers. Overall the experience is heartwarming, uplifting, and has strengthened my therapist skills.”

About Us

Who We Are

T.O.T.S is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing structured play groups in the heart of the North County community, located at the Emerson YMCA. Our unique structure and limited number of participants create a welcoming environment where children with challenging behaviors or anxiety can feel at ease to explore and embrace new experiences.

We understand the importance of fostering a sense of comfort and security for both children and parents. Our play groups not only provide a safe space for kids to grow and learn but also offer parents the chance to build connections with other like-minded parents. For some, it’s a well-deserved opportunity to take a moment to decompress, knowing their child is in the caring hands of our qualified staff.
